Pick up from your hotel in Beijing around 5:00pm. Drive to the Longqing Gorge ( Ravine ). It is located about 90 kilometers to the north of Beijing.

The Longqing Gorge is flanked on both sides by green peaks. Due to the shade from mountains towering on both sides the area has an annual ice period of four months, offering the ideal venue for an ice-lantern festival.
Each year during the ice lantern festival, ice-and-snow sculptures and ice slides are displayed along 300 meters of the gorge. The evening colorful lighting adds to the fun of evening activities. Arrival at the ice lantern place at about 7:00PM. Enjoy the ice carving and various lantern for about 2 hours. Transfer back your downtown hotel around 10:00PM. downtown.
