Lanzhou Xiguan Mosque, also known as West Cross Mosque Lanzhou, is a major mosque in Lanzhou. It was first built in Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). Later on, the
In 1990, a arabic styled dome was built to add on the original mosque, making the mosque looking more grandeur and solemn. It has become of the most magnificent mosques in China.
Xiguan Mosque is located at the western tip of Zhangye Road, the pedestrian street in Lanzhou. To visit Xiguan Mosque, it is better to be coupled with the visit to Zhangye Road and Chenghuang Miao Antique Market.
First walk along Zhangye Road, and visit the Lanzhou Antique Market, then move on to the western end of Zhangye Road, where you can see the two high and slender tower of the Mosque.
