Heat wave hits Beijing

Heat wave started to hit Beijing from July 02. Yesterday the temperature reached over 40.03 degrees Celsius, the highest and the unprecedented in the past. Today is 39 degree Celsius. Beijing meteorological center has issued this year's first orange-coded heat alert for today at 16:30. The high temperature will continue for a week.

If you happen to be on a trip to Beijing, please pay attention to the biggest heat stroke risk. Take great care of yourself if you are going to hike the Great Wall during the hot days. Below is the kindly reminder for you on your trip to the Great Wall:

Bring sun block, sun cream, sunglass, hat and umbrella

2. First-aid medicines may be useful against diarrhea, heat stroke, and other possible situations.

If you feel a bit dizziness, fatigue or disorientation, you may get heat stroke. Please go to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Get ready for sufficient supply of bottled water, or you may buy on the wall though it can be more expensive.
