Your journey begins at the traditional Zhuang Dao Kou Village, where a gentle path leads you to the remnants of ancient army barracks built into the wall itself. As you ascend, you'll pass through a grand archway and follow the crumbling stone paths that wind along the ridge. The towers, though weathered, offer breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. This is a true explorer's experience: you can hike as far as you wish, choosing your own pace along the historic fortifications. Please note that the terrain is uneven and requires a good level of fitness. Your walk starts from Zhuang Dao Kou Village. The main path leads to the walls of ancient army barracks and there are houses in the walls.
Continue to move on and you will see a large archway in the Wall. It is easy to hike the wall as long as you want. The views are stunning, but always take care because the towers are crumbling and the paths are deep.
Continue through the archway. There are several forks on the way, so make sure you keep to the mai pah to the village of Er Dao Guan. Our driver will be waiting at Er Dao Guan and return you to your hotel in Beijing. Lunch in a local restaurant is included.
