Tomb of Li Dazhao

Li Dazhao, one of the founders of the Communist Party of China, made pioneering contributions to the progress of China by launching the New Culture Movement. Killed by a reactionary warlord in 1927, Li Dazhao was buried at the Wan’an Cemetery by members of the underground CPC in 1933.

An upright statue of Li Dazhao, sculpted in white marble,stands at the entrance of the tomb. Behind the statue are the tombs of Li Dazaho and his spouse, Zhao Renlan. Behind the behind is a monument with an epitaph written on the front by Deng Xiaoping, and an epitaph by the Central Committee of the CPC at the back.

The exhibition room on the west side of the courtyard displays “The Revolutionary Deeds of Marty Li Dazhao” introducing his heroic life and immoral achievements.
