Xian Beijing 3 Day Tour from Shanghai by Flight

Early in the morning pick-up from your hotel in Shanghai, then transfer to Shanghai airport and take early morning flight for Xian. Arriving in Xian, met by our representative in Xian and transferred to the Terra-cotta Army. It is located about 30km east of the Xian City. The museum includes Pit 1, Pit 2 and Pit 3 as well the exhibition hall of the chariots and horses. The Pit 1 is the largest of the three. The museum and the mausoleum are listed the world's cultural legacies as the UNESCO.

Then return to the downtown Xian and visit Xian City Wall. The Xian city wall is the most complete city wall that has survived in China as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. It was enlarged in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) from the city wall initially built in Tang Dynasty (618 -907). Now it is 12 meters tall, 12-14 meters wide covering 14 kilometers in length with a deep moat surrounding it. Its south gate is the most largest with a suspension bridge. Most of the tourists choose the south gate for sightseeing. Back to your hotel in Xian.

Take morning flight for Beijing. Upon arrival, met and transferred to your hotel in Beijing. In the afternoon, visit Forbidden City, the Chinese imperial palace from the mid-Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. For almost 500 years, it served as the seat- bed of the Emperors in Ming and Qing Dynasties as well as the ceremonial and political centre of Chinese government.

Then move on to Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Located in the heart of Beijing City, it is the site for massive parades and rallies, which is the largest square of this kind in the world. This was the site when in 1949, from a rostrum on Tiananmen (the Gate of Heavenly Peace), Chairman Mao proclaimed the establishment of the People's Republic of China. Back to your hotel in Beijing.

After breakfast, pick-up from your hotel in Beijing, then transfer to Mtutianyu Great Wall for 2 hours walking on the wall, one of the most beautiful sections of the sections of the Great Wall around Beijing. Mutianyu section of Great Wall is located in Huairou district, 80 km from downtown Beijing. Mutianyu Great Wall once worked as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs.

After the tour, transferred to Beijing Capital Airport and take later afternoon flight back to Shanghai. Arriving at Shanghai, you go back to your hotel on your own.
