From Tsurphu Monastery (楚布寺), trek through a green valley crisscrossed with mountain steams and keep an eye out for mountain goats. Stop in a yak-hair tent for tea before crossing over a mountain pass. Look out over the wide open plateau, with cracked patches of tundra below and a deep blue sky overhead.
