Shanghai Chongqing Yangtze River Yichang Beijing 10 Day Tour ( Closed )

Arrival in Shanghai, met by our guide and transferred to your hotel. Free for the rest of the day.

After breakfast, Pick up from your hotel in Shanghai. First come to People's Square in the city center, covering 140,000 square meters, surrounded by the municipal government office building, the Shanghai Museum, Shanghai City Planning Exhibition Hall and the Grand Theatre. Then walk to the Nanjing Pedestrian Road. It is regarded as the first commercial street in Shanghai. It was first built in 1851. Now Nanjing Road has turned into the number one site for shopping in the city. Then move on to The Bund, one of the most noted waterfront and architectural symbols of Shanghai.

After lunch, go to Shanghai's new zone - Pudong (east of Huangpu River) and ascend Jinmao Tower to have an eye-bird's view of Shanghai city. Then move to Yu yuan Garden, a classical Qing Dynasty garden with over 30 pavilions linked by a maze of corridors and bridges over ponds, Yu Market. Finally take one hour cruising on Huang Pu River. Back to your hotel.

Take flight for Chongqing. You will be met by the local guide and taken on a short tour of the city before dinner. After dinner you will transfer to the Cruise vessel for boarding and begin your lifetime cruise downstream. Starts from Chongqing 21:00.

Go ashore to visit Fengdu, the "Ghost City" in the afternoon. Free to explore the ship's many amenities. Tonight, you are invited to take part the captain's cocktail party.

Alternate shore excursion may visit Shibaozhai or Wanzhou.

Sail through the first of Three Gorges - Qutang Gorge, the most awe-inspiring and the narrowest of the three gorges. Then, cruise on through Wu Gorge, most famous for its 12 peaks. At Badong, transfer to a small ship for a mesmerizing excursion on Shennong Stream to visit its breathtaking small gorges. Next come back to your deluxe cruise ship and sail through Xiling Gorge, the last, the longest and most scenic of all the gorges. Finally, pass through the amazing Three Gorges 5-stage ship locks at the Three Gorges Dam.

Alternate shore excursion may visit Daning River (Little Three Gorges)

This morning, dock at Sandouping to visit the historic Three Gorges Dam project, the largest hydroelectric project in the world. Disembark Yichang about 13:30. Meals: Breakfast Lunch. Transferred to Yichang airport and take afternoon flight to Beijing. Met and transffered to your hotel in Beijing. Free for rest of the day.

Starting the day with a visit to Tiananmen Square, the world largest square of this kind. Then move on to the imperial palace, also known as the "Forbidden City" that symbolizes the imperial and traditional China. After lunch go on with the visit to Temple of Heaven, the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for peace and harvest. Back to your hotel.

Start 8:00am from the hotel and have a full day excursion to The Great Wall, symbol of Chinese civilization. After lunch, go on with the visit to Dingling, one of the Ming Tombs, where 13 emperors were buried in Ming Dynasty. Return to hotel roughly at 6:00 PM.

Start 9:00 am from the hotel. Today's tour focuses on the traditional part of Beijing residential area. Take rickshaw to have Hutong tour and enter the former Prince Gong's Mansion to Experience the noble life of the last Qing Emperor's father. Lunch will be had at an ordinary family of Beijinger's in a courtyard. After lunch proceed to have a look at Lama Temple. The last program is to have a fun of shopping and bargaining at Yaxiu Market. Peking Duck Dinner in the evening.

Transfer to airport for departure.
