Shanghai Beijing 2 Day Tour by High-speed Train

Pick up from your hotel in Shanghai in the early morning and transferred to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. Take the high speed train (5-6 hours) for Beijing. Arriving at Beijing South Railway Station and met by our tour guide. Buying something to eat for lunch on your own and start your one-and-half hour drive to Mutianyu Great Wall.

Getting to Mutainyu Great Wall for 2 hours walking on the wall, one of the most beautiful sections of the sections of the Great Wall around Beijing. The Mutianyu section of Great Wall is located in Huairou district, about 80 km north from downtown Beijing. It is a green section of the great wall in Beijing with vegetation, green pines and cypresses covering 90 per cent of the section.

There are three ways to get onto the Wall when you get to the base of Mutianyu Great Wall. Apart from hiking up on foot, you can choose take cable car or chair lift （Optional ). To get down the wall, you can also take Toboggan slide down ( Optional ).

Head back to the downtown Beijing and check in at our pre-arranged hotel.

After breakfast at your hotel, start your tour with the visit to Tiananmen Square , the largest public square in the world. Located in the heart of Beijing City, it is the site for massive parades and rallies, which is the largest square of this kind in the world. This was the site when in 1949, from a rostrum on Tiananmen (the Gate of Heavenly Peace), Chairman Mao proclaimed the establishment of the People's Republic of China.

Then move on to the Forbidden City , the Chinese imperial palace from the mid-Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty.The Forbidden City is the Chinese imperial palace from the mid-Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty (1644 -1911). For almost 500 years, it served as the seat- bed of the Emperors in Ming and Qing Dynasties as well as the ceremonial and political centre of Chinese government.

Head to Shichahai Area behind Beihai Park for Hutong tour. First take rickshaw going around the deep Hutong in Shichahai area, visiting an ordinary family in a courtyard. Then ascend the Drum Tower and have a bird's eye view of the old Beijing - Shichahai area.

After Chinese lunch, transferred to Beijing South Railway Station. Take the later afternoon high speed train ( 5-6 hour ) for Shanghai. Arriving in Shanghai and go back to your hotel on your own.
