Your day begins with a convenient 8:00am hotel pickup, followed by a scenic drive to the wall. Upon arrival around 10:30am, you'll explore the impressive 21-24 foot high structure, built under the direction of General Qi Jiguang. The afternoon includes a late lunch at a local restaurant before returning to your Beijing hotel. Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in the early morning at 8:00am. Get to the Jinshanling Great Wall around 10:30am. The Jinshanling Great Wall was initially built from 1368 to 1389 in the Ming Dynasty, and in 1567 or 1570 rebuilding of the Wall was mainly directed by General Qi Jiguang. The Wall is about 21 to 24 feet high and 15 to 18 feet wide, which is made of brick and stone.

The Jinshanling Great Wall has an elevation of 2100 feet. There is a cableway up to the Jinshanling Great Wall. The fact is that it is very easy to walk up to the Great Wall. Hiking about 2 hours on its section.. Each tower has its unique feature and look. There are relatively less crowded here at Jinshanling Great Wall, it is a nice place to explore the Great Wall around Beijing.

After late lunch at a local restaurant, get back to the hotel downtown Beijijg.

The local vendors make a living by selling bottled water, postcards, tourist books, T-shirts and souvenirs at higher prices. You are not obligated to buy from them but it can be hard to make them go away. If you don't want to buy anything, tipping is expected. |
