Escape the crowds and discover the raw majesty of the Great Wall on this private two-day tour to Jinshanling, one of Beijing’s most scenic and unrestored sections. Departing your hotel in the early afternoon, you’ll travel 150 kilometers to the wall, arriving in time for a sunset hike along the western ramparts. As the golden light illuminates the ancient stone, you’ll feel the history of the Ming Dynasty come alive. After a peaceful night at the Jinshanling Guest House, spend your second morning exploring the eastern towers, built under the direction of generals Xu Da and Qi Jiguang. With each watchtower boasting unique architecture, this intimate journey offers a deeper connection to China’s most iconic landmark.

Pick up from your hotel around 1:30pm. and head to Jinshaling Great Wall . The 150-km drive takes about 2 and half hours. Arriving at Jinshanling Great Wall, hike up on the west section of Jinshanling Great Wall for a sunset view ( if fine weather ). Then return to the Jinshanling Guest House for dinner.
Today start to hike the east section of Jinshanling Great Wall around 9:00am and hike for 3-4 hour. The Jinshanling Great Wall was first constructed built in the Ming Dynasty. The famous general, Xu Da, of the early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) supervised and directed the construction of the Great Wall. Later, Qi Jiguang led a number of defense works while guarding the north area in 1567. Each tower has its unique feature and look. There are relatively less crowded here at Jinshanling Great Wall, it is a nice place to explore the Great Wall in Beijing. After the hike at the wall, you will be arranged to have Chinese lunch a local farmhouse. After lunch, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
