Beijing tour
Escape Beijing for a day of vibrant autumn color: explore the Huanghuacheng Great Wall's reservoir section and the serene Hongluo Temple, with its ancient ginkgo trees and pagodas.
This private day tour from Beijing offers a rare opportunity to experience the Great Wall in a uniquely scenic setting—where the Ming Dynasty wall meets a tranquil reservoir. Departing your hotel at 8:00 am, you'll drive to Xishuiyu Village in Jiuduhe Township, home to the Huanghuacheng Reservoir. Here, the Great Wall is divided into three sections by the water, creating a dramatic landscape of broken battlements mirrored in the lake. Spend two hours hiking along the reservoir, surrounded by the fiery reds and golds of autumn foliage. Afterward, visit Hongluo Temple, an ancient Buddhist sanctuary nestled among hills. The temple is renowned for its two towering ginkgo trees, which turn brilliant yellow in fall, and its peaceful courtyards. This tour combines two of Beijing's most photogenic autumn destinations, with ample time for photography and quiet reflection. Ideal for travelers seeking a less crowded Great Wall experience, this day trip provides a perfect blend of nature, history, and seasonal beauty.
