or Guilin Today you may take flight from Hong Kong or train from Guangzhou or Shenzhen ( close to Hong Kong) to Guilin ( air-ticket or train ticket is not included ). You will be met by our English speaking tour guide and escorted to our pre-booked hotel in Guilin. You are free for the rest of the day. Meal: No
First visit Reed Flute Cave - a huge karst cave with a great number of stalactites, stalagmites, rocks in all featuring shapes and sizes. Then visit Hubo Hill - standing solitarily in the northeast of the city and on west bank of Li River with half of the hill stretching into the river. You have a la carte lunch with an a la carte menu at a nice local restaurant, where you could enjoy the authentic Chinese food. After lunch, move on to Elephant Trunk Hill - the rock hill with an arched hole (known as the water-moon arch) named after its striking resemblance to an elephant sipping water. Lastly go to Seven Star Park - named after from its seven peaks resemble the pattern of the Big Dipper constellation. Transferred to your hotel in Guilin.
Pick up from your hotel early the morning. Then drive about 1 hour to get to the Zhujiang Pier for a 4-hour's cruising on Li River - the highlight of sightseeing tour in Guilin with lunch aboard. You will enjoy the beautiful mountains, verdant fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank. Get off at the old town Yangshuo - famous for its spectacular views of hills and rivers with famous bar streets. The whole afternoon exploring the old town before transferred back to Guilin city.
After breakfast, you are free for the rest of the day till transferred to Guilin airport and fly for Guangzhou. Arriving at Guangzhou, you are met by our English speaking tour guide and transferred to your hotel in Guangzhou. You are free for the rest of the day.
Pick up from your hotel in Guangzhou. First visit Yuexiu Park, a green belt in the city center of Guangzhou housing gardens, shaded wood paths and musuems and take a picture of the symbol of Guyangzhou - the sculpture of five rams. Then move on to Nanyue King Museum , the mausoleum of the Nanyue King dating to 2000 years ago and accidentally discovered in 1983. Then head to Six Banyan Temple , originally built in Ad537 to enshrine the Buddhist relics. The Temple of the Six Banyan Trees is one of the four best Buddhist temples in Guangzhou and located on the Liurong Road (meaning the Six Banyan Trees Road). It has a rich collection of cultural-relics and is renowned both at home and abroad. After lunch, visit Chen Clan Temple , an ancestral shrine for the Chen clan built 1894 with exquisite carvings, paintings and ornate scrollwork. Then head to the new city axis of Guangzhou and have a stroll on the Huacheng Square , view the Canton Tower (the tallest tower in China) and West Tower(Guangzhou International Finance Centre ). Continue to walk on Haixin Sha Park , the site of the opening ceremony of the Asian Games 2010. At the end of the day tour, you are transferred back to your hotel in Guangzhou.
Pick up from your hotel around 8:00am and drive to Kaiping city by car or coach ( about2.5hrs ). Then visit Watching Towers in Zili Village . Zili Village is under the jurisdiction of Tangkou Township, Kaiping, 12 kilometers to the urban district of the city to its east. The whole village has nine watching Towers, which are known as Diaolou and six western-styles. Visit Li Garden . Li Garden was built between from the year of 1926 to 1936. It covers an area of 11000 square meters approximately, not only has the lingering charm of Chinese gardens, but also includes the exotic atmosphere of Western architectures, they are in great harmony together subtly. The layout of Li Garden is divided into 3 sections, inside which there is a villa section, a grand garden, a small garden. And then visit Chikan Old Town . Mainly built in 1920s, Chikan Town becomes a Movie and Television Base with its traditional architectures and beautiful scene. At the end of the tour, drive back to Guangzhou ( about 2.5hrs ). Return to your hotel in Guangzhou.
