Pick up from your hotel at 7:00am. Take a private car or van to the Temple of Heaven . The park ( Temple of Heaven) is open at 6:00am daily mainly for early "birds" for morning exercises. The attractions in Temple of Heaven is open at 8:00am. So if you want to visit the main attrations in the park like Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests(Qiniandian), the Hall of Imperial Zenity (Huangqiandian), the Circular Mound (Huanqiu) the Imperial Vault of Heaven (Huangqiongyu), you are supposed to wait till 8:00am.
The two hours between 7:00am and 9:00am are prepared for the locals doing morning exercises. You are here to see and join in the activities going here in the early morning of Temple of Heaven. Some play Taiji and dance; some do gym exercises and play Jianzi; others fly kites or play cards and many more activities -- a real picture showcasing early morning life in Beijing.
After seeing and enjoying, you may start your tour of Temple of Heaven, the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshiped heaven and prayed for peace and harvest. The temple complex was constructed from 1406 to 1420 during the reign of the Yongle Emperor. Or you may skip the tour and transferred back to your hotel in the downtown Beijing.
