The old town is located in Shapingba district of Chongqing and on the west bank of Jialing River, taking up an area of 1.18 square kilometers. The majority of the houses date from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, periods during which many masterpieces of Chinese architecture were created.
Then come back to the city center and visit Stillwell Museum. Joseph W. Stilwell (1883 - 1946) was born in Palatka, Florida, USA. He was graduated from West Point in 1904. Stillwell Museum is situated in the Yuzhong District in Chongqing city to commemorate General Joseph W. Stilwell who contributed greatly to the liberation of China during the World War II.
