China Amazing Zhangjiajie Tour

Arrival in Beijing, met and transferred to your hotel (booked by us) in Beijing. In the afternoon, visit Temple of Heaven, the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for peace and harvest. You are at your leisure to take a good rest or explore the city for the remainer of the day.

Starting the day with a visit to Tiananmen Square, the world largest square of this kind. Then move on to the imperial palace, also known as the Forbidden City, the complex of imperial palace, which was home to the Emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties for over 500 years. After lunch, continue to visit, the largest and most beautiful Chinese imperial garden. It is regarded as a museum of gardens in China. Back to hotel.

After breakfast, you are picked up at your hotel around 8:00am. First head to Mutainyu Great Wall to start your highlight of your Beijing tour, hiking the Great Wall of China, a massive military defense works which was left from the Ming dynasty.

After lunch, drive to the Ming Tombs (Dingling, one of the 13 Ming Dynasty Tombs complex). From the Yongle Emperor onwards, 13 Ming Dynasty Emperors were buried in this area. You will visit Dingling, the tomb of the Wanli Emperor, which is the only one of the Ming Dynasty Tombs to have been excavated. Back to your hotel.

Arrival at the city of Zhangjiajie (flight or train not included). Met by our tour guide and you will have 30km transfer from the city to to your hotel in Wulingyuan Scenic Area (Zhangjiajie Scenic Area). Free for rest of the day.

Today's highlight is to visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Located in the northwest of Wulingyuan. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park has more than 3000 surprising pillar-like formations pulling out from earth and seen throughout the park. First take elevator up to Huangshi Fort to have a high view of the park - a huge painting of Chinese beautiful landscape: unique peaks, active mountains, flying waterfalls and bloom flowers and green grasses... After lunch, your afternoon tour will focus on the Jinbian Brook. It stretches a distance of 7.5 km from north to south, winding across mountains and valleys, breathing in the fresh air, feasting eyes on the grotesque valley and peaks on both sides.

Today's highlight is to explore Tianzi Mountain. Tianzi Mountain takes its after Xiang Dakun who took the lead in the local farmers"rebellion. He regarded himself Tianzi meaning"the Son of Heaven" in Chinese. Take cable car up to the mountain. The area is characteristic of high and dense hoodoos. The highest peak is Tianzi Peak which has an elevation of 1,262.5 meters. Mt. Tianzi is particularly recommended for its good view. Taking in the view there, one can see solitary and clustering mountains among the clouds mid mist.

Drive to Fenghuang Ancient Town (about 4 hours), visit Famous attractions in the town and have a boat cruise in the beautiful Tuo River, appreciate the unique architecture of local people, taste the culture of Miao minority people. Stay in Fenghuag.

After breakfast, you are free in Fenguang. Afternoon transferred back to Zhangjiajie. After dinner in Zhangjiajie, take flight for Shanghai. Met and transferred to your hotel in Shanghai.

Morning is free on your own. After lunch, visit Yu yuan Garden, a classical Qing Dynasty garden with over 30 pavilions linked by a maze of corridors and bridges over ponds. Move on to the Old City God's Temple Bazaar from the Song Dyansty.

First visit Shanghai Museum, the selection of over 112,000 Chinese cultural relics from the Old Stone Age to modern times. Then proceed to visit the "Pedestrians only" Nanjing Pedestrian Road, a walking bustling street that is always packed with people waching other people. Then move on to The Bund, one of the most noted waterfront and architectural symbols of Shanghai. After lunch, go to Shanghai's new zone - Pudong (east of Huangpu River) and ascend Jinmao Tower to have an eye-bird's view of Shanghai city. Finally take one hour cruising on Huang Pu River. Back to your hotel.

Transfer to airport for departure or free on your own.
