Heilongjiang River, a time when chairman Mao Zedong ordered the construction of subterranean bomb shelters in case of nuclear attack. Next move on to the Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall . It is designed to introduce the long history of the immortal city of Beijing, display the great achievements of the modern urban planning and development, and exhibit the splendid future of Beijing's urban development. The 16,000 square-meter floor space is distributed on 4 floor levels in the Hall, with 8,000 square meters for exhibits. Then passing by Zhengyangmen , the main gate in the center of the southern wall. The gate-tower and the arrow tower are still extant. It is popularly known as Qianmen, the "front gate," because it is situated directly in front of the Imperial City and the Forbidden City. Then proceed to visit Dashilan Street , the oldest commercial street in Beijing, is now more packed than ever in the Qianmen area. After lunch, go to visit Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum , the first special museum in China focused on collecting, researching and displaying of China ancient architecture technologies, art and its development history.
