Met at your hotel in Beijing by your private tour guide and your private car or van around 9:00am. First drive to Summer palace. The Summer Palace was originally a royal garden and a temporary dwelling palace for emperors of Qing Dynasty, Its predecessor was the Garden of Clear Ripples (Qingyiyuan) started in 1750 and burned down by the British and French allied troops in 1860. In 1886, Empress Dowager Cixi used navy outlays and other funds in the reconstruction and renamed the park as Summer Palace in 1888. The Summer Palace in northwest suburban Beijing is the largest and most complete imperial garden existing in China.


Then you will be tranferred to Beijing Sun Village for lunch. The lunch is prepared by the students in the village. The village is now a home for over 100 children of incarcerated parents aged from 1 year to 18 years. The sun village was set up 1995 without any government aid. As a civil NGO, Sun Village Beijing aims to foster and educate the children with parents incarcerated, providing them baic living condition, educational support, psychological consultancy, right protection and vocational training etc.


The village people will give you a brief introduction on its development history in their exhibition hall. Then you visit two of the 9 dormitries in the village. You also have the chance to talk and mix with the students in the village. inally you will be taken to the field for growing peach or date trees. There you will find your name being hung on the tree after you either donate RMB 100 or RMB 500. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing
