Early morning from your hotel in Beijing and transfer to Beijing Capital International Airport for the flight from Beijing to Shanghai. Met at Shanghai Airport and transferred to your hotel ( booked by us ). After lunch, first visit the Bund. The Bund (Waitan) is one of the most noted architectural symbols of Shanghai. The Bund in Shanghai was first used when the first British company opened a office there in 1846. The Bund, or the waterfront,is now surrounded by about 50 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance. Then walk along the famous Nanjing Road. Naning Road is a pedestrian street that is always packed with people waching other people. It is regarded as the first commercial road in Shanghai. The 5.5-km long Nanjing Road is the most bustling and prosperous street in Shanghai. Continue to drive to the wharf near the Bund for the one hour cruising along the Huangpo River. Huangpu River winds about 114 kilometers from Dingshan Lake, the source, northward to Wusong Kou, where it meeets with the Yangtze River. 40 km of the river is within the area of the big Shanghai. It is only about 400 meter wide and 9 meter deep, but it holds about one third of the China's total international trade. Huangpu River is the sign of Shanghai. It supplies water to the 13 million people in the metropolis and is also important for navigation, fishery, tourism and receiving wastewater Return to your hotel in Shanghai and free for rest of the day.
Pick up from our your hotel in Shanghai around 8:00am. Drive about 1.5 hour and get to Suzhou - known historical and cultural city, as well as a key scenic tourist one. The city is often referred to as "The Venice of the Earth." Its famous private gardens are listed as World Culture Heritage. First visit Net Master Garden,the best and most celebrated as a model Ming Dynasty Garden in all of Suzhou. Then move on to the Ancient City Gate and Grand Canal. The Panmen City Gate is the oldest city gate in existence in Suzhou city. It used to be one of the eight city gates during the Spring & Autumn Annals (770-476 BC) when Suzhou was the capital of the Wu Kindom. The Gand Canal is one of the greatest ancient projects in China and is the longest man-made canal in world. Then have a short tour of a silk spinning factory to see how Chinese silk has been produced since the 14th century. After lunch, visit the water town of Zhouzhuang. You will board a Chinese style gondala to cruise the waterways of the city. After the tour in Suzhou and Zhouzhuang, transferred back to your midtown hotel in Shanghai.
After breakfast at hotel, first visit Shanghai Museum - the selection of over 112,000 Chinese cultural relics from the Old Stone Age to modern times. Then move on to Yu Yuan Garden - the most famous garden in Shanghai. After lunch, visit the Shanghai Children's Palace - offering talented children after-school-education for gifted children. Then go to Shanghai's new zone - Pudong ( east of Huangpu River ) and visit Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower - the world's third tallest TV tower after the 553-meter CN Tower in Toronto and the 535-meter Moscow TV Tower. After the whole day tour, you will be transferred back to Shanghai Airport for your flight back to Beijing. B---Breakfast, L---Lunch
