Pick up from your hotel in Beijing and transferred to Beijing Airport.Today you take the over 2-hour morning flight from Beijing to Shanghai. Arriving at Shanghai airport, you will be met by our English speaking tour guide and first escorted to have lunch.
After lunch, you are arranged to have a short walk along The Bund. The Bund, or the waterfront is now surrounded by about 50 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance. Then embark on a cruise boat cruising on the Huangpu River passing the Bund on the west bank and Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Jinmao Tower, World Financial Center and more futuristic buildings at Lujiazui in Pudong on the east bank of Huangpu River. Back to your hotel.

Pick up from your hotel in Shanghai around 8:00am. Drive about 1.5 hour and get to Suzhou - a well-known historical and cultural city. The city is often dubbed as "The Venice of the East." Its famous private gardens are listed as World Culture Heritage.
First visit Net Master Garden, the best and most celebrated as a model Ming Dynasty Garden in all of Suzhou. The Garden of the Master of the Nets is really a masterpiece. The good use of space is the most effective thing about this garden. Rock arrangements and beautiful fish pools match each other as do the house and garden parts. The garden also holds many structures of using lattice windows to frame views of flowers or bamboo.
Then move on to Pingjiang Road for a walk. This 800-year old street is the best preserved ancient "water lane" ( in contrast with “water town”) in Suzhou. You cannot find a better place in China in which modernity and tradition match hand in hand.
Then have a short tour of a silk spinning factory to see how Chinese silk has been produced since the 14th century. After lunch, visit the water town of Zhouzhuang. Zhouzhuang is known as the No.01 Watertown in China. This over-900 year old watertown has become a trove of oriental culture with its simple and pristine custom, unique folklore, the well preserved ancient residential houses and mesmerising watertown views. You will board a Chinese style gondala to cruise the watetown. After the tour in Suzhou and Zhouzhuang, transferred back to your midtown hotel in Shanghai.

After breakfast, visit the new development zone in Pudong - Lujiazui, which is teemed with the futuristic, avant-garde buildings - Oriental Pearl Tower, Jin Mao Building, Bank of China Tower. Taking the elevator to the 88-storey Observation Deck of Jinmao Tower to have a bird's eye view of Shanghai city.
Then move on to Tianzifang Street: Tianzifang is an artsy area that has developed from a renovated residential area (old Shanghai shikumen buildings) in the French Concession area of Shanghai. Now it houses bars, cafes, crafts shops, design studios, galleries and boutiques. Many local residents still live in the narrow lanes. Just be mindful and respect their privacy.
After lunch, continue to visit Shanghai Bazaar and Yu Yuan Garden. Yuyuan is the most famous garden in Shanghai. It is located in the heart of Shanghai's Old City (Shanghai bazaar), one of the few existant old tourist places in Shanghai. Shanghai bazaar is teemed with a great number of small streets and lanes where vendors sell their products and food stuffs to the tourists and local people.
Finishing your tour in Shanghai and you are transferred to Shanghai airport and take the later afternoon flight for Beijing. Met and transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
