Picked up from your hotel in downtown Beijing around 8:00am, then escorted by our tour guide, drive along Jingping Expressway to the Pinggu District about 80km in the east of Beijing. First visit Jingdong Karst Cave, which has existed ever since 1.5 billion years before, hence the name of "The Oldest Karst Cave in the world".
This karst cave stretches over 25,00m including a 100m boat trip inside the karst cave. The temperature inside the karst cave is stable, warm in winter and cool in summer. The karst cave is divided into 8 viewing areas named after the unique rock formations, the stalactites, stalagmites, and columns that can be found inside the cave.

Then have a scenic drive along the east side of Huangsongyu Reservoir. It lies at the foot of Huangsongyu Great Wall in Diaowo village in Pinggu District, about 100km in the northeast of Beijing city proper.
Huangsongyu Reservoir has also become a leisure place for middle class urban residents who come here to rewind themselves, fishing, camping and homestay at Diaowo Village.

Huangsongyu Great Wall is perched on the mountain above Huangsongyu Reservoir. Huangsongyu Reservoir has cut the Huangsong Great Wall into two parts –west section and east section. The east section of Huangsongyu Great Wall leads to Jiangunguan Great Wall and Huangyaguan Great Wall.

Then head to Diaowo Village. The village has 54 households with over 100 villagers. "Diaowo" literally means "the eagle's nest", named after a huge eagle that used to nest in a cave of the nearby mountain, hovering in the air above the village. Diaowo Village is surrounded by the mountains on its three sides as well as the west side of the waters – the Huangsongyu Reservoir.

Today you will meet Mrs Li and her husband Mr. Hao in their courtyard home. A few years ago Mrs. Li retired and left the busy downtown Beijing and relocated to her husband birth place for spending the retirement life.

Now she eats the vegetables she plants in her front yard and the Geese & Chickens in her back yard, enjoying an organic living and healthy life. You will have a home lunch made by Lady Li, chatting on their life and getting a good feel of its people of China.

After home made lunch, move on to visit Stone Forest Gorge (Shilinxia Scenic Area ). The stone forest valley is 6 kilometers long with its main peak looking like trees put together, hence the name stone forest for the scenic area. The stone forest gorge area has dense plantations and fresh air, a good place to walk close to the greatness of the nature.

You will be arranged to take cable car up to the place high on the mountain from which you still scramble up for about 20 minutes before you reach the world's largest glass sightseeing platform.

The Glass Sightseeing Platform is hung out from the cliff on the highest peak inside Stone Forest Gorge (Shilinxia Scenic Area), 11 meters longer than the Grand Canyon Skywalk inside the Grand Canyon National Park in the United States.

The transparent sightseeing platform allows you to have a terrific view of the valleys and mountains below. Take the cable down afterwards.

After visiting Glass Sightseeing Platform, return your hotel in Beijing.
