Pick up from your hotel in Beijing and transferred to Beijing Train Station. Then take the morning bullet train for Shanhaiguan. Over 400 species have been recorded in the varied habitats of the Beidaihe area. 90 %of them are are migrant birds.
The train ride takes about 2 and half hours ( your train number and departing time to be confirmed by your trip advisor from Tour Beijing).

Met by our representative in Shanhaiguan. First you are taken to one of the 4 bird watching spots on this trip - Great Wall at Jiaoshan Mountain , the famous Great Wall of China coming down from the mountains.
You are arranged to take a chair lift to the top. If you are lucky, you may see some migrating birds. You are also encouraged to look for some mountains species here including Pere David's Laughingthrush, Chinese Hill Warbler, Yellow-streaked Warbler and more.

After Chinese lunch, move on to visit Old Dragon's Head ( Laolongtou ), the easternmost end of the Great Wall, which extends 23 meters into the sea, like a dragon drinking water, hence its name.
This part of the Great Wall was first constructed in the 7th year of Wanli reign in the Ming dynasty (1579) and was largely repaired in the 7th year of Kangxi reign in the Qing dynasty (1668).

Drive south to your beachside Hotel in Beidaihe. You have a free and relaxing later afternoon on your own, playing on the Beidaihe Beach near your hotel. The beach is always alive with lots of holidaymakers.
Some fly kites; some ride the motor-cars on the sand. Others swim in the sea if summer time. Many people just sit on the sand thinking and talking. It is a scene of carefree life.
