Beijing 5 Day Essence Tour

Upon arrival in Beijing, met by our English speaking tour guide and transferred to your hotel in Beijing. You are at your leisure to explore the city.

After breakfast, first visit Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. The move on to the Forbidden City, the complex of imperial palace, which was home to the Emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties for over 500 years.

After lunch, continue to visit Temple of Heaven, the place where the Emperors prayed for peace and harvest. Then move on to Summer Palace, the largest imperial garden in China. The

was a favorite haunt of the Dowager empress Cixi for her own enjoyment. Foot Massage at the Chinese traditional medicine center.

First visit the Jade Museum to have a basic knowledge of China jade culture. Then begin the highlight of your Beijing tour, hiking the Great Wall of China, Badaling Great Wall, a massive military defense works which was left from the Ming dynasty.

After lunch, drive to the Underground Palace (Dingling, one of the 13 Ming Dynasty Tombs complex). From the Yongle Emperor onwards, 13 Ming Dynasty Emperors were buried in this area. You will visit Dingling, the tomb of the Wanli Emperor, which is the only one of the Ming Dynasty Tombs to have been excavated.

Tonight enjoy a "Kung Fu Show" performance.

First visit Giant Pandas at Beijig Zoo to meet the lively pandas. Then Head to to Shichahai area behind Beihai Park for Hutong tour. First take rickshaw going around the deep Hutong in Shichahai area, visiting an ordinary family in a courtyard.

After Chinese lunch, ascend the Drum Tower and have a bird's eye view of the old Beijing. Enjoy a tea ceremony at a teahouse. You will be arranged to have a visit to the Silk Market, the famous bazaar in Beijing, where you can test your ability of bargaining skills.

Transfer to airport for flight home or at your leisure.
