Embark on a 4-day Yangtze River cruise from Chongqing to Yichang, exploring ancient towns, ghost culture, and the legendary Three Gorges.
Begin your journey in Chongqing with a visit to Ciqikou Ancient Town, a well-preserved Ming and Qing dynasty settlement along the Jialing River, followed by the Stillwell Museum. Board your cruise and sail through the dramatic Three Gorges—Qutang, Wu, and Xiling—each offering unique landscapes and cultural insights. Shore excursions include Fengdu Ghost City, China's only ghost-themed cultural site, and a smaller boat ride on the Daning River or Shennong Stream. The tour concludes with a visit to the awe-inspiring Three Gorges Dam before disembarking in Yichang. Pick up from Chongqing Train Station, or Chongqing airport in the morning. Your afternoon Chongqing tour starts with the visit to Ciqikou Ancient Town. The old town is located in Shapingba District of Chongqing and on the west bank of Jialing River. The majority of the houses date from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Then come back to the city center and visit Stillwell Museum. Stillwell Museum is situated in the Yuzhong District in Chongqing city to commemorate General Joseph W. Stilwell (1883 - 1946) who contributed greatly to the liberation of China during the World War II. After dinner, you are transferred to the Dock for your Yangtze River trip ( overnight on board ).
Continue to cruise on the Yangtze River. Today you will be arranged to take a shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City. Fengdu is the only ghost city in China, which is famous for its ghost culture. First take a cable car up to the hill and visit the temples all over the mountain with many statues. Then, return to the ship and move towards the fantastic Three Gorges.
Continiue to cruise on Yangtze River. Today enter the Qutang Gorge. Your Cruise ship carefully pilots its way through the narrow course. At Wushan, disembark the ship and board smaller vessels in order to explore either the Daning River (or Shennong Stream). Reboard the ship and sail through the Wu Gorge.
Pass through the Xiling Gorge which is the longest and historically the most dangerous of the Three Gorges. Then move on to the massive the Three Gorges Dam and disembark for a tour of this engineering marvel at Sandouping Village. After lunch on board, You will arrive in in Yichang. Transfer from cruise to airport or train station in Yichang for your next destination.
