Bingling Thousand Buddha Caves

Located in the Jishi Hills 35 kilometers (22 miles) southwest of Yongjing County, Lanzhou City, Bingling Thousand Buddha Caves are cultural treasures of the Silk Road. Here lies one of the four most well-known stone caves in China, just second to the Mogao caves in artistic value. There are now 183 niches, 694 stone statues, 82 clay sculptures and some 900 square meters' (about 1,076 square yards') of murals, which are all well preserved. With elegant postures, flying robes and ribbons, the statues are life-like. Yellow River Mother Sculpture

The Yellow River passed through the urban district of Lanzhou city. Yellow River Mother Sculpture is along it. This sculpture is the best of its kind in China. The whole sculpture contains that of a mother and a baby. The mother with long hair, slim figure, lying on the undulate water looks happy and kind. On her breast hold a small kid who bear naive smile. The sculpture connotes that the Yellow River has nourished generations of Chinese. Gansu Provincial Museum

Located at Qilihe of Lanzhou City, the Gansu Provincial Museum is a local comprehensive museum. Built in 1956, the museum covers a total area of 18,000 square meters (about 4 acres). Designed by the soviet experts, this museum will provide visitors with a unique and memorable experience. The Museum boasts 75,000 cultural relics, ranging from natural specimens to historical, revolutionary and national heritages, of which more than 110 pieces are of the first class. Waterwheel Garden

Built in 1994, The Waterwheel Garden is located in the Binhe Middle Road (Binhe Zhong Lu) in Lanzhou, Gansu Province. The garden covers an area of 1.45 hectares (3.58 acres) and is comprised of two waterwheels, a cofferdam, the recreation area and a house of water mill. The unique-shaped Water Wheel has a long history and the first reference to it appeared in the Ming Dynasty. It is an ancient device that uses flowing or falling water to create power by means of a set of paddles mounted around a wheel. The force of the water moved the paddles, and the consequent rotation of the wheel is transmitted to machinery via the shaft of the wheel. White Pagoda Park

Located in the north of Lanzhou City, the White Pagoda Park got its name due to the amazing White Pagoda inside the park. With images of Buddha on its eight sides, the seven-story pagoda with a height of 17 meters (about 55.8 feet), is a pure white building except for the green top that enhanced the look of the whole building. Covering an area of 8,000 square meters（about two acres), the park has three magnificent and very old architectural complexes inside it. These are built in harmony with the landscape surrounding it and the White Pagoda Mountain behind. Buses of No. 1, 4, 6, 20, 35, 53, 131, 11, 15, 26, 34, 136, 75, 106 and 107 can take you there.

Five Springs Mountain Park

Five Springs Park lies in the northwest part of Gaolan Mountain, which stands in the south part of the downtown area in Lanzhou City. It is the largest park in Lanzhou, with an area of 266,400 square meters. The park is well-known for its tranquil and beautiful scenery with lush forest, gurgling springs, a lot of ancient temples. “Five Springs” include Ganlu Spring, Juyue Spring, Mozi Spring, Meng Spring and Hui Spring. Zhongshan Iron Bridge

Zhongshan Bridge is the first bridge over the Yellow River. It lies at the foot of Bai Ta Mountain and in front of Jin Cheng Pass in Lanzhou city, the capital of Gansu Province. It was built as a float bridge in 7 miles west of Lanzhou. Extending for 233.33 meters long and 7.5 meters high, it was the first bridge built on the Yellow River and was first called "Lanzhou Yellow River Iron Bridge". In 1954, Lanzhou People Government had reinforced it and added five steel arc girders what made the bridge looks solid and durable, grandiose as today we see. Sangke Grasslands

Sangke Grasslands of Lanzhou is a part of the Dajiutan prairie in Sang Ke County between the "Panma beach". The middle part is the open and smooth mountain grassland. The scenery was really amazing - blue sky and vast grasslands with mountains in the distance. The Daxia River originally flows from south to north in Sangke Grasslands. It is the natural grazing grounds of the Tibetan national minority people. Visitors can travel by bicycle or on horseback. Ticket Price: 3Yuan Opening Time: the whole day How to get there: The grassland can be reached by either by bus, motor-cab or bicycle.
